Lubomir Sojak, MD is a senior doctor at the Department of Infectology and Geographical Medicine at the University Hospital in Bratislava. He specializes in antibiotic therapy of nosocomial infections and the treatment of infectious complications in immunocompromised patients. He is a chief of the Antibiotic Commission at the University Hospital in Bratislava. He cooperates with the National Institute of Oncology in Bratislava, mainly in the prevention of reactivation of B hepatitis in patients receiving chemotherapy, what is also the topic of his postgraduate studies. He focuses mainly on HIV positive patients, he is also a member of the biggest center for HIV positive patients in Slovakia. He is a member of the ESCMID (European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases) and ECEE (Euroguidelines in Central and Eastern Europe Network Group).
