Since September 2019 Dr. Revaz Metchurtchlishvili has been working as an infectious diseases specialist at Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, Tbilisi, Georgia. Dr. Metchurtchlishvili graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University in 2017. He completed his residency in infectious diseases and started practicing medicine at Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center in 2019. Dr. Metchurtchlishvili has experience working in different Intensive care units in children’s hospitals. He serves as a member of the national committee for the clinical management of COVID-19. This committee is responsible for coordination and supervision of COVID-19 care activities across the country. Within his doctoral program, Dr. Metchurtchlishvili led a retrospective cohort study to evaluate the effectiveness of antiviral treatments among hospitalized patients with COVID-19.
