Konstantinos Protopapas is a specialist in Internal Medicine with a focus on infectious diseases. Since 2010, he has been working as a physician and academic fellow at the HIV clinic of Attikon University Hospital of Athens. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he is actively involved in research and plays a key role in teaching and mentoring medical students at the clinic.
He has been a member of the European AIDS Clinical Society (EACS) since 2007 and has served as a member of the EACS Standard of Care scientific committee since 2023. He is also a member of the governing board of the Hellenic Society for the Study and Control of AIDS and has contributed to the advisory committee for the implementation of PrEP in Greece. Recently, he joined the ECEE Network group.
Beyond his professional and academic commitments, Konstantinos Protopapas maintains strong connections with the community as a founding member of Positive Voice, the Greek association of people living with HIV (PLHIV).
