Natalia Bolokadze graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University with an MD degree. She obtained her PhD degree in Experimental Medicine at the I. Beritashvili Institute of Physiology. Currently Dr. Bolokadze is an Infectious Diseases Physician at the Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center in Tbilisi, Georgia, which is the country’s leading institution in the field of HIV, viral hepatitis and other infectious diseases. She is also an Associated Professor at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Dr. Bolokadze has extensive experience in clinical research related to HIV, HCV and TB, leading national cohort studies in collaborations with  everal international partners.
Her research contributions are well-documented through numerous peer-reviewed publications. She is a co-author of several national guidelines. She is a member of the EACS Standard of Care Scientific committee and the Euroguidelines in Central and Eastern Europe Network Group.
